Love Does Safe House
Love Does Safe House founded in 2024 was initially founded in 2021 and has been formerly divided into two safe houses; Bukoto and Kyambogo Girls Safe Houses. The Love Does Safe House houses children that are coming from challenging communities and have been victims of various injustices including sexual harassment and defilement, Domestic violence and child abuse,
These Children are entrusted to the care of three female mentors who have been well trained to provide
mentorship, stability and serve as exemplary leaders to help them heal and adjust to become better members and citizens of their communities. We also provide Psycho-social support with the help of our qualified and passionate counsellors which helps the healing, forgiveness and hope to be faster.
Our greatest satisfaction comes from the transformation lifestyle and realization that through our efforts, these girls get empowered, hopeful and develop visionary mindsets that in the long run help us to help them to positively impact their peers and communities.
With the support and funding of Love Does, they are able to get a quality education, medical care, balanced diet meals and other utilities.
We have as a safe house embarked on several creative ways of building self-confidence and esteem into our young ladies through activities like debates to encourage them to be able to express themselves in English. We also participate in the DEAR Day which allows them to read and learn new things. Every week we task one girl to lead and run the house as well as share scripture in the weekly fellowships to instill in them the virtue of servant leadership.
Above all, we pray with our girls and teach and also learn from them how God has been God in their lives.
